and children’s industry, the Kind+Jugend trade fair, will open its doors from
14h to 17th of September in Cologne. This year 2017, the fair is expanding
the exhibition from 100,000 m² to 110,000 m², focusing on high quality
design and decoration products, as well as on a new special area for the
digital children’s room section.
The Cologne Exhibition Center, from 14th to 17th
September, will host one of the most important events
in the babycare sector; the trade show for kids’ first
years, Kind+Jugend. A global fair aimed at both visitors
(children’s specialist retailers, specialized market for
children and baby equipment, toy specialist store, im-
porters, wholesale, purchasing association, etc.), as well
as exhibitors (manufactures of prams, car/bicycle seats,
children’s furniture, hygiene articles, textiles, maternity
wear, etc.), in order to create a space where to find the
most important and international trends of the babycare
business. In the last edition, a total of 22,000 professio-
nal visitors came from 112 different countries, and 1,204
exhibitors from 53 regions. In this sense, “here is where
thousands of international manufacturers from around
the world show their new products to the industry in one
place, and start their global success”, as revealed by or-
ganizers of the event.
Also, the next edition will count with all formats of the
supporting program (including lectures, the innovation
area and the designers’ presentations) primarily focused
on trends. In addition, “due to the high dedication of the
baby and toddler outfitting industry and its innovative in-
novations” the event established the Innovation Award
that traditionally elects the most inventive product de-
velopments on the first day of the international date.
High quality design and digital children’s
room
The next edition of Kind+Jugend will feature “more
exhibitors, more innovation, more space and more bu-
siness”, as revealed by organization. This year 2017,
the fair is expanding the exhibition from 100,000 m² to
110,000 m². In this sense, with the addition of hall 4.1,
the assistants now find six instead of the previous five
halls.
Likewise, as a new highlight of Kind + Jugend 2017, the
event is focus on high quality design and decoration pro-
ducts, as well as a special area for the digital children’s
room. In “the Connected Kidsroom (the intelligent
children’s room), exhibitors can present their digital pro-
ducts for learning and playing, as well as for health and
care bundled (whether dolls with artificial intelligence,
robot building sets or interactive learning apps).
