The first joint Hispack & Bta call confirmed "the appropriateness of bringing together in the same place and at the same time companies of machinery and solutions for the packaging industry and food technologies, it has been a very warm welcome by exhibitors and visitors", explained the director of Hispack, Xavier Pascual. This amount allowed, at the same time, "harnessing the synergies between both fairs, the food industry is the main consumer of packaging, and it has demonstrated its ability to attract visitors with purchasing power of national and international", added at the bottom the director of BtaVíctor Pascual.
Business and innovation
It should be noted that during the celebration of both halls were about 150 business meetings between exhibitors and foreign buyers from countries of Europe from the East, Asia, Middle East and the Mediterranean area, main potential markets for sectors of the packaging and food technologies.
Hispack & Bta was also a showcase of new trends, above all, more sustainable and environmentally friendly products. In Hispack, e.g. packaging 100% biodegradable, made from potato or corn starch could see plastic bottles in little more than 6 grams of weight to reduce the use of polluting materials and even packaging with natural antioxidants such as vitamin E to lengthen the life of food.
For its part, Bta presented innovations in machinery for food processing and new ingredients and additives such as preservatives and colourings natural, reducing fat and gluten, liquid smoke, vegetables and dried fruits and cooked bacon, crab and squid powder.
The latest developments of both sectors marked activities and technical seminars also jointly organized and counted with the participation of international experts. The first edition of Hispack & Bta had more than 1,000 exhibitors, representing in total more than 3,000 companies, occupying 70,000 square metres NET in the six pavilions of the enclosure of Gran Via in Barcelona.
