This is the main conclusion of the report Tobalina Top 100 Variables: analysis of logistics in companies of Catalonia

The Tobalina group presented early in may in Barcelona the "first report Tobalina - Top 100 Variables analysis to diagnose the reality logistics companies in Catalonia". It is a thorough x-ray born with biannual vocation and whose study methodology explained Félix Tobalina, Director-General,: "in the nearly 10 years of existence of the Group Tobalina have done consulting and implementations for more than 400 companies." The accumulated knowledge I have used it to assess the health of the logistics between companies in Catalonia, both multinationals, such as SMEs. Our consultants, from a year ago, have been defining the structure of this report and in the end have opted for 100 analysis variables, grouped into 17 areas: General policy, strategy, human resources, planning, new technologies, service to client", Balanced scorecard, shopping, storage, transport and distribution physics, costs, production and maintenance, outsourcing, new products, organizational structure, communication, supply and other aspects".

Meanwhile, Angel Tobalina, Director of projects of the Group Tobalina, was commissioned to explain the development and the conclusions "all the percentages we concluded are weighted." There are Catalan companies with very competitive logistics departments, others with acceptable logistical operation and the vast majority should raise the real benefits of a logistics system optimized (...) "." Angel Tobalina stressed that in Catalonia this situation is similar elsewhere in Spain: "Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao would be the first division." The Director of the projects of the Tobalina group was very satisfied with the outcome of the first report Tobalina, after twelve months of hard work: "the hardest thing has been structured on 100 variables to check its development future." Our intend to repeat it every two years, so that it becomes a tool of reference on the logistic market. "Other projects is be it expanding to other geographical areas, but step by step."

Some of the main conclusions of the report are that companies of Catalonia gained an average of 5.7 points in the situation of its logistics. 100 Variables for analysis, they are only approved in 18. On the other hand, 65 percent of the companies of Catalonia is unknown the overall logistics cost while 81.4 per cent unknown real productivity of your store.

On the other hand, concludes that the 71.5 per cent made a deficient management of packaging and only 37.5 percent includes logistics in the strategic plan of the company.
