September 20, 2011
In parallel with the signing of the agreement opens the exhibition "landscape Corchero. Mediterranean. Diverse ', which presents a journey through the diversity and scenic wealth of the corcheros territories of Spain, in the Centre Cultural Blanquerna. Photos of Lluís Català and the texts that accompany them, you will discover a unique landscape of the Mediterranean basin as well as technical knowledge and experiential nature.
In this way, the exhibition shows the reality of the Cork oak in the hands of their own inhabitants, workers and owners of six autonomous regions: Andalusia, Castile - La Mancha, Castile and León, Catalonia, Valencia and Extremadura. The corcheros landscapes are a good for all and represent a very important legacy for future generations. A set of values make them extremely important: landscape, ecological, economic, social, historical, cultural and scientific values.
This exhibition is part of the pilot project 'Territories A of the Rural national network', co-funded by the Ministry of environment and Rural and marine environment and the EAFRD (European agricultural fund for Rural Development).
At the inauguration were present, among others, the general coordinator of Retecork, Josep Capellà; Lluis Català, photographer of the exhibition; Biodiversity Foundation, Ana Leiva, Director and the director-general for sustainable development of Rural Environment, Jesus houses.
