New Valtra tractors with common user interface
November 20, 2009
About 2,000 exhibitors, of whom half were foreigners from 45 different countries, participated at the Agritechnica 2009 pageant which took place from 8 to 14 November in Hanover (Germany). On this occasion, they were announced about 300 new machinery and agricultural equipment. Once again, Agritechnica was an international forum which also addressed matters such as the protection of crops, fertilizers, agricultural machinery and components, equipment and irrigation machines and facilities of bioenergy and biofuels. With a stand of 995 square meters, the Valtra brand, of the American company, Agco, presented their latest advances in agricultural machinery. For example, tractors fitted with a new control panel patented in the armrests and similar control functions for different transmissions alternate, Direct and Advance.
Single control designed for difficult terrain system
As challenge to tractors that operate in either direction changing acceleration, Valtra launches a few teams with armrest Arm. This accessory combines solid grip, ergonomic, switch pushbutton oscillating, rotating button and controls by sliding switch. Accordingly, alternate, Direct and Advance tractors presented the only system of control of the market with a grip position ideal for difficult terrain and under conditions in which the address is key to the operator. In addition, the armrest can move easily across a lane of hand, useful when using the system of reversible driving Valtra TwinTrac, optional on the models of series N, T and S.
Another of the progress of the firm is the development of similar control functions for different transmissions. In total, four different transmissions which are controlled through a single system. In the first and second place, transmissions, powershift, in three continuous, of Advance models and the automatic powershift, in five continuous, of the alternate line. Thirdly, the continuously variable transmission in Direct range and, finally, the continuously variable transmission of new generation used by tractors of the S series to mark trend in the development of CVT transmissions.
An interface for various vehicles
Valtra precedent in the agricultural sector to enable the handling of this wide range of equipment, partially manufactured in different factories, through a common interface. Advantageous technology for any client, contractor or owner of fleets with several tractors, since facilitael the exchange of tractors and operators. Moreover, reduces the time of learning for the new operators. As a CODA, these four lines of Valtra tractors share the hydraulic system of last generation Advance II and the system of automatic guided Auto-Guide. The first, gives place to a full electronic control, as well as independent oil for hydraulic external functions in the alternate, Direct and S. models The second, facilitates navigation satellite, handsfree, as well as a new and simplified user interface.
