Wine and Mediterranean diet in the cardiovascular prevention and the treatment of illnesses

With the aim to contribute in the improvement of the knowledges on Mediterranean feeding, the Catalan Centre of the Nutrition of the Institute of Catalan Studies (CCNIEC) celebrated the scientific sessions of this year ‘Mediterranean Foods 2014'. The CCNIEC is formed by all the Groups of Investigation Recognised devoted to the Feeding, the Nutrition and the Metabolism of the Catalan Countries, and in which it collaborates Ramón Estruch with the group of investigation ‘Internal Medicine' of the Clinical Hospital of Barcelona and Rosa Lamuela with the group of natural ‘Antioxidant investigation: Polifenoles' of the University of Barcelona.

Fivin Has a long path in the learning and information on the profits of the moderate and responsible consumption of wine boosting the practice of responsible guidelines to enjoy of the wine with moderation framed in a model of healthy life. And in this sense, the Foundation is working acutely in tasks of investigation, compilation and diffusion of the profits of the wine on the health inside the Wine Information Council, one of the branches of the European Program ‘Wine in Moderation' that the Spanish Federation of the Wine and Fivin are implanting in Spain to promote the responsible consumption of wine like a cultural and social norm improving the quality of life of the society.
