SIL 2011 gearing up

Aware that the logistics sector is essential for the competitiveness of companies because it allows them to achieve maximum efficiency, both in terms of production costs and service and, after the reception that took the solutions presented in the previous edition of the SILthe international exhibition logistics and maintenance will continue betting on this formula that promotes maximum participation of the companies. Thus, SIL 2011 will continue offering the Hospitality Area, a few stands of 180 square meters located at preferred location to enjoy them in one, two, three or four days of the show. In the Hospitality Area companies wishing to do may invite their customers and receive visitors of the SIL for giving the presentation of your product or service and offer a cocktail, glass, etc.
At the same time SIL 2011 will again count with the ' SIL Tech area ' and ' SIL Trans area ', spaces that seek to establish a clear relationship between business and knowledge with the creation of stands of design and a room of presentations so that all major companies of the new technologies and road transport sectors can submit your news, products, services and carry out practical demonstrations.
For its part, 'Exhibition Village', an area in which several brands show live and direct their products, services, solutions and improvements, will also be continued in the treceava Edition of the international logistics and maintenance. On the other hand, the Organization of the SIL is thoroughly analysing surveys to exhibitors and visitors during the last edition, and it is already working hard on new forms of participation which will be announced in the near future with the firm intention of having the maximum representation of companies in the sector.
Two new areas
SIL 2011contará also with new areas dedicated to e-commerce sectors (SIL e-commerce) and packaging (SIL Pack). SIL e-commerce will house companies of parcel and courier, couriers, logistics operators and transport companies who see a business opportunity in e-commerce. This new area will be complemented by a Congress that will address the key issues of the e-commerce logistics and inform about the opportunities and advantages that can bring online commerce in traditional enterprises business. E-commerce as a business opportunity will be one of the main themes that will be the SIL e-commerce.
For its part, SIL Pack will be the meeting point of the packaging, packaging, packaging, storage and packaging sector. It will also house a complete offer which will go from the machinery to the packed end product. The SIL Pack will feature a space dedicated to the innovations of the packaging (SIL Pack Innovations) where, for a small fee, may be innovations and trends in a sector increasingly more in vogue.
The SIL supports the 'Ferrmed manifesto' for the Mediterranean corridor
A delegation from the international logistics and maintenance (SIL), headed by its CEO, Blanca Sorigué, was present the last Wednesday in the European Parliament support the Ferrmed manifesto for the implementation of the standards and the inclusion of the Mediterranean corridor as a priority project in the European railway network. In the same way, in this meeting became special emphasis on the need for allocation of European funds for its implementation in place.
In the presentation of the 'manifesto Ferrmed' most significant members participated high-level representatives of the EU, as the Ministers of transport of Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Switzerland, of the European Commission, the European Parliament and of the States and regions.
This meeting was an important support of political, institutional and business representatives. The SIL, as a logistics Hall of the Mediterranean, was present supporting this project key to the economy of the EU, given that it unites the most important port front in Europe in the North Sea, with their respective hinterlands in the Northern EuropeCentral and Eastern, with the most important waterway routes, with the Western Mediterranean port front and North Africa.
Air cargo will also have a leading space
General director of the Hall, white Sorigué, headed the SIL participation at the end of 2010 in Tenerife, in the second technical Conference of forwarding agents organized by Feteia-OLT, in collaboration with Ateia-Tenerife. And it is that this year, the SIL presents new proposals and ideas aimed at increasing the representation of this sector within the Hall, with the establishment of a zone of own exhibition and an own technical conference. In this way the international exhibition logistics and maintenance want to combine knowledge, 'business' and 'networking' in a meeting bringing together all the professionals and companies in the sector of air cargo.
