Logic held the X meeting of the logistic Club pose challenges for the future

The day revolved around the crisis, problems and business changes that has brought with it and possible solutions to the situation in relation to 2012. In addition, featured guests of great experience in the logistic and economic and labour sector: Carlos Rodriguez Braun (Economist, author and commentator), Enric Ticó (President of Feteia), Sylvia Rausch (Abertis Logística), Rafael Paez Martinez (Ernst & Young), Jesús Hernández (CEO of ID Logistics)Juan Antonio Sagardoy (Professor of labour law). The closure of the meeting was led by Gonzalo Sanz, President of logic and Aurelio García de Sola (Manager of Imade).
Proposals for change: training, flexibility, and internationalization
The papers had a practical and positive approach. While Sylvia Rausch was optimistic and predicted a recovery of the economy in the short term, Rafael Paez Martinez opted for flexibility and adaptation to the new socio-economic context through eight challenges that define the new factors of profitability. From the reassessment of the model of business, optimization of the operational flexibility, speeding up the decision-making and execution of decisions, to the strengthening of the talent of the address. According to Rafael Páez: "Are opening Windows, niches, for a short time, we should seek to take advantage".

Ticó stressed the need for fair competition and a transparent market. The President of Feteia also had an optimistic message and believed that in 2012 the situation of the sector will be better.
Round table: looking to the future
Labour legislation and the need for reform occupied the first minutes of the conversation which were incorporated, as well as the rapporteurs, Juan Antonio Sagardoy and Jesús Hernández. Sagardoy requested that "there is no such tyrannical legislation;" "what is deadly for employment is labour immobility". One of the issues of concern was whether Spain is ready to welcome other markets or in what has to change the sector to become a reference of the market and the rapporteurs, also agreed on the importance of the private but also public investmentas well as make a profile of how should be the sector.
Closure of the meeting: must react
In the current situation economic Gonzalo Sanz, President of logic, he moved to the auditorium to the times of Cicero to underline the importance of the commitment of the workers with the State and participation in political and social life. And it is that "there are two types of people: those who expect that something will happen, and what makes something happen". The second group is expected to take initiatives: "the business leadership is governed as an engine for change." "The leader must give the individual the degree of freedom which possesses, draw the way and encourage self-criticism to lead the change from within", continued Sanz.
The President of the organization highlighted the need of confidence with regard to the competence, skills and intentions, and above all, confidence in self-criticism. In addition, said the importance of training and research as an urgent task. Finally, urged to incorporate new principles "such as flexibility, geographical mobility and security policy in the employment and not in the workplace". As well as the four challenges facing the industry: education and innovation, the size and the whole, the creation of employment and corporate responsibility.
Finally, Aurelio Garcia de Sola pointed out the privileged geographical position of Madrid. In addition, he said that is considering the creation of an Iberian logistics operator in collaboration with Portugal, and that an Iberian logistics conference involving the Ministry of development, the community of Madrid and the Portuguese Government will be held in April.
