Novem obtained in the year 2001, together with the BMW customer, the innovation award "Environmental performance" of AVK-TV (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Verstärkte Kunststoffe - Technische Vereinigung e.V., Frankfurt) by a moulding of decoration of real wood in the technique of compound of fibers with transparent cover of PUR.
Compared to conventional processes, in which the wood surface is sealed with lacquered with polyester, sealed with polyurethane (CCM) offers a potential for significantly higher rationalization with a sustainable reduction of emissions.
