In competition Forum Krauss Maffei held the past 19th of may at its headquarters in Munich, the company showed a selection of over 30 machines of high-end, along with integrated process solutions. In this forum of competition Krauss Maffei 2011, the Munich company presented two new machines entirely electric for the AX series injection moulding and former.

This widely expands the program Krauss Maffei of the segment of small machines and complete their full range of small, medium and large machines. In addition, its new 'Mobile Assistant' allows customers to access the key production data anytime, anywhere through their smart phones.

The former 200-1400 with 2,000 kN clamping force is a new category of size that rounds out the EX series. A machine for high performance and high speed that has been designed to work in conditions of maximum hygiene, ideal for its high accuracy and efficient production for the medical industry and packaging. The exclusive closure of knee in Z ensures rapid movements of mold on the side of the closure, while the plasticizer and engine direct injection unit ensures maximum accuracy in the process. The production of technical parts for the electrical/electronic and automotive sectors claims a manufacturing that save the consumption of material combined with high repeatability. AX injection molding machines are precisely tailored to these requirements. The public was so here, for the first time, the opportunity to observe the AX 350-1400 of Krauss Maffei, a series consisting of 21 machines.

Exemplary energy efficiency of this machine is derived from an optimal closure of double knee, an efficient servo motor and the proper functioning of its mechanical parts. With an AX machine, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 60%. The AX series meets all the requirements for an efficient production of high precision, enabling processors to produce elements of more flexible, safe and above all at a lower unit cost (even in low speed applications).

Krauss Maffei in Munich presented over 25 machines of reaction and moulding processes injection on its newly opened integrated TechCenter. Showed his extensive experience in every step of the manufacturing chain, from the preparation to the machining and the injected parts ready to use, and how his ability in the execution of projects, from the initial idea to series production. The main focus in the field of the machinery of reaction processes is in the use of plastics reinforced with fiber to the lightweight of automobile construction.

There were also systems of extrusion of pipes for the processing of materials of high quality and boost productivity. Visitors were able to observe flexible solutions that save space in the extrusion of U-PVC profiles for Windows. The manufacturer of these machines is convinced of their systems of high technology and energy efficiency, allowing savings of material to convince clients and visitors.

The 'Forum of competition' performed demonstrations of extrusion of pipes from PE-Xa lattice. "We offer producers a complete line of one hand, whose technology reflects the general trend towards systems engineering of high-quality, with excellent value for money", said Hans Ulrich Golz, Member of the Board of Krauss Maffei Technologies GmbH.

The central part of the line is the model KMD 63 K/R, a conical extruder of double husillo with cabezal KM-RKW 30-63 PE-Xa and oven of infrared for reticulado. It can produce pipes reticuladas of PE with a diameter of 63 mm and a performance of until 130 kg/h for the class rowing sports club 7.4 standard.

Krauss Maffei Berstorff also presented two examples of its varied range in coextrusion solutions: a combination of extruder KMD 90-32/P and another mounted on column model KMD 43 K/P, and on the other hand, one extruder mounted on column, double spindle, model KMD 63 K/P of the Conic as a separate model series.

These compact machines are used to produce Windows with different outer layers and core profiles, for example. This means that the core or non-visible areas of the main profile of the window can be produced with inexpensive formulations or recycling.

This German company also used this occasion to unveil a world innovation in affordable prefabricated houses. The houses can be produced en masse in a line of double track from Krauss Maffei and assembled in a few days. This innovation represents a sustainable way to deal with the growing global demand for affordable housing in developing and emerging countries.

The concept is unique in the organized manner in which houses are made. Using a twin-track line, manufacturers can produce about 2 houses per day, or what is the same, 500 a year. To face growing demand, you can mount a continuous line capable of producing 2,000 to 10,000 units per year.

"Each prefabricated House has an area of only 30 square metres and can accommodate a family of 5 members," added Liebhold.

Wall and ceiling panels are well isolated, creating an atmosphere of comfortable housing, and the House can be equipped with solar panels so it autoabastezca through solar energy.

The prefabricated house consists of only a few modular panels, similar to industrial halls and warehouses. Wall and ceiling panels contain an insulating core of foam polyurethane caught between coatings of steel and are produced in one of the tracks.
