Walter Tools expands its range of inserts Drill Xtra•tec

In the future, Drill Xtra•tec plates will also cover the range of diameters of 36 to 59 mm (previously were 16.5 to 35 mm). The enlargement will take place in two stages: on the one hand, the deep drilling 2xD and 3xD, and on the other models 4xD and 5xD, which can be acquired from the beginning of 2010.
The B421x has two plates, exterior and interior, as well as spiral for a smooth chip evacuation. The optimal balance of forces in the two plates guarantees a low vibration and high-performance process. The drills are ideal for cast iron and steel materials as well as stainless steel and difficult to machine materials. It is also possible the drilling on inclined or convex surfaces. The special in the outside plate edge produces an excellent surface finish and as a result it usually isn't necessary subsequent operations.
