Interview with Jan-Peter Engel, Manager of DMG Iberian
July 14, 2009
Could you tell me the type of machines that have been tabled?
Technology of turning present turning universal CNC with subhusillo and axis Y: the CTX machines alpha 500, lathes multicarro with step of bar of 60 mm with 7 axes CNC: 60-7 MSL, and the automatic lathes of CNC tailstock with passage of bar 20 mm: Sprint and Sprint Linear.
As far as technology of milling is concerned, we could see our milled to 5-axis CNC machines: the DMU 50 and the DMU 40 MonoBlock, to 3-axis vertical machining centres: the DMC 1035 V, high-speed 5-axis machining: HSC 20 Linear and our machines for milling CNC universal for the machining on 5 sides: the DMU 60 FD DuoBlock.
Attendees could also see our complete range of Ecoline, where he was the CTX echo: turning universal CNC with motorized tools machines, specifically was in operation the CTX 500 eco. Also agreed to three-axis vertical machining centres: the DMC 635 V eco and centres of horizontal machining with 400 mm pallet: DMC 55 h ECO.
The teams for the adjustment of tools were the DMG Microset, VIO 210 MV III and one 115.
The product has been star or which has highlighted further?
The DMU 60 FD DuoBlock. This machine consists of a machining of milling and turning in the same subject with DirectDrive, maximum speed of 1,200 rpm technology and only drive for milling and turning.
5-Axis simultaneous machining consists of a rotating table CN and B axis controlled to CN in the standard model. DuoBlock structure is for a maximum dynamic accuracy and better access to the workspace. The electronic balancing on the machine goes with Hedenhain MillPlus iT and Siemens 840 d solutionline and the package of production has a coolant of 600 liters tank, cooling internal 40 bar through the interior of the spindle, filter papera transporter of shavings and rotating window.
The vertical chain store takes a horizontal changer and 40 posts tool (optional 60 / 120 or 180). It should also be noted that the protective cockpit has security with armored glass Windows.
What impression is of the open day on 5 June?
The event has had a number of reduced attendance compared with last year, but attendees have shown greater satisfaction with the quality of the exhibition. We have been able to close contracts and will repeat the event in 2010.
They hope to do another coming soon?
Let's do a seminar of precision turned parts in our new headquarters in Madrid, together with Sandvik. For the second half of the year we celebrate a day in Barcelona and one in Madrid highlighting our line of lathes and machining Ecoline centres.
Have you noticed any difference with respect to the interior year?
Despite the current economic situation, we clearly bet on seminars and events such as days of open doors and fairs allow us to demonstrate our superior technology and our leadership in the market.
