ABB sets new benchmarks with the IRB 4600
The new technology of ABB includes multi-purpose fourth generation robots
The IRB 4600 comes in four versions: two versions with short arm (2.05 m) to load capacity of 60 or 45 kg, and two with long arm (2.50 and 2.55 metres) for capacities from 40 to 20 kilos. The new robot has an extremely broad area of work, minimum cycle times. It can be mounted on the ground, tilted and even inverted.
Thanks to its ability to run inverted, it also has an excellent range of below the base of the robot, the beyond vertical market in its category and it could stand on the machines.
"I think that everybody's looking for the most efficient solution in its market." In this, basically is the performance, quality and the cost of the life cycle, all synonyms of ABB robots. The IRB 4600 is the most efficient robot in the market. "If you are looking for is a robot made progress with the best performance, the 4600 IRB is the best choice, simply," says Gustaf Flodström, ABB project director.
With a slightly higher than the 400 kilos weight, it's the robot lighter of which are offered in the market for various applications. The new design, without parallel bars, offers a more comprehensive area of work, and compact body will fit on the workstations of the users or will occupy less space than any other robot in its category. The IRB 4600 is designed to withstand hostile environments; all the robots are protected in accordance with loa standard IP 67.
