The model DMC 55 H duoBLOCK was shown at an Open House in Pfronten

Last February the German manufacturer of machine Deckel Maho organized an open day to which was attended by numerous professionals at its headquarters in Pfronten. The occasion was used to introduce a new model of compact machining, the DMC 55 H Center duoBLOCK.

Optimized for the high demands of flexible production, the new DMC 55 H horizontal machining center duoBLOCK is the successor to the DMC 50 H and DMC 60 H hidyn, with up to 400 x 400 mm pallets It sets new standards in stability, stiffness and performance for a dynamic response, speed and precision. Other features of the new machine are the limited space that requires an improved pallet changer and a better accessibility to the area of machining, the drivers of high-tech SolutionLine Siemens or Heidenhain iTNC 530 (new in the segment of horizontal machining centers)the spacious House of machining and high burdens of the pieces, up to 500 kg. Also includes a spindle motor 12,000 RPM in standard (provides 110 Nm and 20 kW) and a consistent concept of up to 180 tools that provides the right solution for all your needs.

Thanks to its principle of design and its innovative features, the new DMC 55 H horizontal machining center duoBLOCK sets new standards in the segment of compact machines.

The new pallet changer is on one side of the House of machining, although it operates, as usually, from the front.

The new compact Centre DMC 55 H duoBLOCK has a warehouse for 45 tools in standard.

The development of the model DMC 55 H duoBLOCK is the first implementation of the patented concept Deckel Maho duoBLOCK in compact models. Expect more news in this sense to the fair EMO (Hanover, 17-22 September 2007).

Just a few years ago Deckel Maho was known, almost exclusively, by their universal machines and five-axis. With his machines could access to the most complex parts with the highest technological level. Recently this has manifested itself in the design patented duoBLOCK, whose high stability and rigidity soon became it the platform for all the series of five-axis machines. But it is not there the thing, because the third generation of the duoBLOCK concept was presented as the perfect base for horizontal machining. And also in this discipline Deckel Maho offered its customers the most advanced developments, as the very fast DMC 60 H linear and linear DMC 80 H, the DMC 70 H duoBLOCK universal, and the series of high-performance DMC H duoBLOCK horizontal sizes of 80100 to 125 with tours of x-axis of 800, 1000 and 1250 mm.

With the new DMC 55 H duoBLOCK this Builder German of machines introduced an important innovation for the segment of the horizontal machining, for the first time with duoBLOCK system in a compact version in their open days.

The standard version of the new model comes with a wheel for 45 tools store up to 10 kg and 160 mm in diameter and 400 mm in length. Alternatively the Builder also offers vertical store quickly with quick changer already persuaded the market in large centres H models and which can store up to 180 tools. In this case the maximum dimensions of the tool are 12 kg, 450 mm in length and 160 mm in diameter.
