Gaiker-IK4 will receive the Emas II certificate

On 27 January gaiker-ik4 at its facilities in the technological park of Biscay (Zamudio) held the official ceremony of the EMAS II certificate, awarded by Aenor (Spanish Association of normalization and certification) to the Technology Centre last November. Environmental certificate, which comes in addition to the certifications and accreditations that already has this organisation of reference in quality and quality management - ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14001: 2004, certificate of good practices Laboratory (BPL), gold in 2004 "Q" and "Q" silver in 2002, among others-, will be delivered by the Minister of environment and management of the territory of the Basque Government, Esther Larrañaga, and the delegate in the Basque country, light Emparanza Aenor.

In the course of the visit, which will also feature the presence of the Deputy Minister of the Department of environment and management of the territory, Ibon Galarraga, the Director of environmental quality of the Basque Government, Begoña Iriarte, the Director of planning, participation, and environmental ControlAlberto Jiménez Aberasturi, and representatives of IHOBE (public society of environmental management), Gaiker-IK4 shall submit to the new Government team its most prominent in the environmental field activities, and the objectives and results of some of the strategic research projects related to sustainability and the environment ongoing. Among others, will be examined his leadership in the European Virtual Center of recycling, VERC'H project, and their participation in the strategic projects Berrilur, dedicated to generating knowledge to solve the problem of contaminated land in the Basque country, and Futureswhich aims to bring together the efforts and knowledge in technologies for the recycling of the Basque country of different technological agents.
