The CTM organises a workshop of metalografía and inspection no destructive of surfaces

The Fundació CTM Centre Tecnològic, that forms part of Tecnio -the only network that improves the technological transfer and the business innovation in Catalonia -, organises a workshop of metalografía and inspection no destructive of surfaces, jointly with Leica Microsystems. The activity will take place next Tuesday 3 December in the headquarters of the CTM (Square of the Science, 2. Manresa).

The purpose of the workshop is to enter and develop concepts of microscopía and analysis of image metalográfica in accordance with the norms established for each application. The program includes practical sessions to work with microscopes metalográficos, digital and estereoscópicos, software of measure and acquisition of image 2D and 3D, as well as it also includes the manufacturing in situ of replies, extending his field of application to the no destructive inspection of surfaces. In this way, all the participants will be able to observe and analyse his own samples.

Some of the subjects that will treat during the practical sessions of metalografía will be: the determination of the size of grain in steels and alloys no ferric; the evaluation of inclusions no metallic in steels, the classification of graphite in foundries of ironinging; the analysis of porosidad, the characterisation of coatings, the inspection of weldings; the analysis of phases in microstructure of thermal sensors treatment and the content of inclusions or second phases.

The day is free and heads to all the professionals interested in the microscopía optical and analysis of image like tools of superficial characterisation and microestructural of materials.
