Successful inauguration of the new Hexagon Metrology Precision Center and of the new Barcelona Metrology Automation Center

The day of 5 November 2013 will happen to the history of Hexagon Metrology Iberia as a very important day, with the inauguration of the new Hexagon Metrology Precision Center and also of the new Barcelona Metrology Automation Center. The act had the presence of Norbert Hanke, CEO and president of Hexagon Metrology, Jordi Edo, general director of Hexagon Metrology Iberia, that were accompanied by Fernando Ferrer, general director of the Spanish Centre of Metrology, local and autonomic authorities, and also of a big number of customers and friends of the company.

With the presence of more than a hundred of people, between which there was representation of some of the main customers of the company in Spain and Portugal, Hexagon Metrology Iberia opened yesterday the doors of his remodelled and expanded Precision Center situated in the Technological Park of the Vallés. In the frame of a day of glorious environingingment, the assistants to the event checked at first hand like Hexagon Metrology has redoblado his efforts in endowing of some new and modern installations of R&D, that combine the investigation and development in projects of automation of systems of measurement, and also the services of laboratory and new room of demonstrations. The centre is endowed technically for his utilisation in pro of the technological divulging, having all necessary technologies so that they realizar video-conferences, video-demonstrations and on-line learning. Hexagon Metrology Has carried out in Barcelona an upper investment to the 2 mill. Of euros to put in operation the Barcelona Metrology Automation Center. It treats of an only technical centre in the world, where has attained simulate an exact section of the module of dimensional control in the production of the car sector.

During the turn of parliaments, Norbert Hanke stood out that the “company has grown and evolved in twelve years until being leaders in the field of the metrology.
