They will install the first plant in Europe of water supercrítica in an urban debugger of Valencia

The technology, has applied successfully in the treatment of distinct types of dangerous waste. His utilisation in the treatment of slimes of urban debugger constitutes a new alternative to the lines of purification in traditional mud. The co-oxidation in water supercrítica of slimes of debugger simultaneously with another waste of industrial type constitutes a technological innovation that opens the door to new strategies of management of treatment of this waste for the elimination of contaminantes and recovery of valuable substances, like the phosphorus.
The installation of the technology of cooxidación supercrítica in a Station of Purification of Residual Waters (Edar) will allow to improve the sustainability of the own debugger. Also of the activities agroalimentarias of his next surroundings. When treating of an exothermic process foresees a net production of power of renewable character. On the other hand, wants to show the feasibility to recover nutrients like the phosphorus for his back aprovechamiento. When remaining entirely mineralizada the organic matter, avoid risks of biological pollution or of substances contaminantes emergent presents in the slimes. Besides, the technology foresees to save costs of investment and/or operation in the lines of treatment of slimes.
The project includes the construction of an installation demostrativa with capacity to treat 100kg of dry matter to the day. The plant will situate in the Edar of Paterna (Valencia) managed by the Epsar and will be in operation during more than a year checking the efficiency of the process for distinct combinations of waste to treat. It will be the first plant of water supercrítica that work in continuous in a debugger to European level and the second to world-wide level.
