Have given cases of fakes in alimentary products when seeing altered the dates of preferential consumption or caducity when the useful life of the product already had expired. These facts put in danger the hygiene and confidence of the consumers. Which possibilities exist to avoid this fraud and protect to the consumer? A group of researchers of the University of Hong Kong have developed an ink imborrable to guarantee that the information of the containers do not see altered.
In the alimentary containers prints information directed to the consumer, like nutritional information, dates of caducity or preferential consumption, process of manufacturing, etc.
On the other hand, the producers reflect in the container the batch of the product as well as another type of information that allows to carry out a correct trazabilidad of the product along the alimentary chain. Of this form guarantees that the products that arrive to hands of the consumers are in perfect conditions and that have withdrawn to time those with some type of alteration, but what occur when this information manipulates ?
The use of inks in the packaging that can not erase does more complex the alterations of the information.
After 3 years of investigation and development, the group of researchers of the University of Hong Kong have developed a series of products that guarantee the anti-fraud. This range includes wrappings that can not withdraw and special inks that can not erase.
Regarding the inks imborrables, are developed in a formulation of fast dried and are compatible with fast lines of production and in other materials of packaging. The solution developed contributes to guarantee that the information does not lose and that the trazabilidad keeps along the chain of value, from the producer until the consumer.
