The EFSA trusts to Ainia a European study on the nutritional information of the milks of continuation

The study will identify:
- comparative Analysis between the milks of continuation that commercialise in the different countries of the EU: Which marks of milk of continuation commercialise in each country object of the study and which products commercialises each one of them.
- Comparative analysis of the nutritional differences between the distinct marks and products, and between the distinct countries in study. For this, goes to realise a study detailed of the nutritional information that stands out in the labeling of each product, identifying and extracting relative data to: ingredients of enrichment incorporated, nutritional allegations and allegations of health stood out (claims), nutritional improvements applied to the products, etc.
- Study of market headed to estimate the quota of market of the distinct marks in the European Union in general, with information particularizada in the distinct countries object of the study.
The milks of continuation (for boys between 1-3 years) have developed with the aim to ensure a correct feeding in the phase of transition of a diet based only in milk (maternal milk or milks of ‘start') to a solid diet. In the EU exist a big diversity of products of this type and continuously launch to the market other new with new formulations improved, with the end to cover the specific nutritional needs of each segment of age of this childish community.
