The European Commission will investigate the energy markets

Industries are affected by the escalation of prices of gas and the lack of real liberalization of energy markets for months in their companies. Despite continuous calls to the Executive take measures in this respect, sectors claim to feel unprotected in a situation which has already resulted in very serious problems.

Sectors coincide with the European Commission in which the business concentration, the constraints of access to the infrastructure of new suppliers, lack of transparency, the determination of prices by the criteria of competence and a lack of interconnections slows energy competition. Industries are in agreement that we need to urgently take steps so that the dominant operators do not block the real liberalization of markets, something that had been denouncing for some time. They also agree the appreciation that certain regulations imposed by some Member States not are favoring the real liberalization of their markets, but quite the contrary, that involve a limitation.

Anfac, Aege, ACC, AAEE, Aspapel, Intertextil, Feique Hispalyt and Unesid support the extent of the EC and believe that the situation faced by their companies is extremely serious.
