Schmersal Ibérica, S.L. - Emergency switches

The group Schmersal, through his subsidiary Elan, offers a complete range of monitoring equipment, especially designed for the sector of feeding, fulfilling the rules of hygiene. The wide range comprises pulsadores, switches, selectores indicators and mushrooms of emergency.

Fulfilling the basic requirements of a hygienic design, have to take into account two appearances in relation with the requirements of hygiene of the machines; in the first place, the idoneidad of the materials and, second, a hygienic design, whose principles summary in that the surfaces and his transitions have to be the sufficiently smooth and the materials do not have to go in in contact with the foods.

In this sense, the connections of the devices have to be designed so that they reduce to the maximum the salient parts, the slots and the unseen corners. The connections of the inner surfaces have to present curvatures with a sufficient diameter. On the other hand, the materials employed to operate the machine (for example, the lubricantes), do not have to go in in contact with the foods. The liquids (foods and cleaners) have to can go out of the machine, like minimum in the position of cleaning. Besides, any surface that go in in contact with foods, has to be easy to clean whereas the inaccessible zones for his cleaning, have to be sealed against the penetration of organic substances.

To fulfil all these principles, Elan has developed this range of pulsadores, selectores and luminous indicators, according to the norms of hygiene for orifices of 22,3 mm of diameter (Series N).

The series comprises from pulsadores, pulsadores luminous, pilot (available in 5 colours), switches selectores of contact sustained or with return by resorte, buttons type mushroom and devices of unemployment of emergency.

The Series N, pretends to fulfil at the same time the special requirements of the norms IN 1672-1 and IN 1672-2, the requirements of hygiene and hygiene for machinery of feeding in general, and also the norms IN 13570 (for machines mixers) and IN 12268 (for saws endless).
