Hexagon measured forces

As already reported MetalUnivers through its website Metalunivers.com, one of the most recent acquisitions of Hexagon was that of the French company Sud Mesure, through its subsidiary Swiss Tesa. Sud Mesure turnover of 2.2 million euros per year and is expected that this operation will contribute to the benefits of Hexagon during the month of April.
Through this purchase, the Swedish company Hexagon expands its business in the area of measurement without contact and continues to develop the area of three-dimensional vision manual equipment. The acquisition strengthens the program of equipment without-contact Tesa, which currently consists of Tesa Scan and Tesa Profile. The production of Sud Mesure of Avignon (France), will go down in facilities of Tesa in Renens (Switzerland).
The official launch of the new range of Tesa was held during the Fair Trade Control in Sinsheim (Germany), from 6 to 9 May.
As it is known, the last year, in October, Hexagon Metrology acquired the Italian Mirai, an Italian provider of software that was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Turin and Bologna. Since 1998, the company has specialized in computer applications to metallic iron, such as software tools of measurement and design of metal parts. Clients belong mainly to the aerospace industry and the automotive industry.
Brown & Sharpe, leading provider of products and services in precision dimensional metrology became a part of the Swedish holding company in the year 2000. In particular, Hexagon purchased all businesses and brands that Brown & Sharpe available worldwide including the DEA from Turin and Spanish structure of the organization.
