The Jiménez skill group triples its area of storage with a loft of SSI Schäfer

The project consists in the installation of a loft with shelves of panels designed to deal with 1.902 square meters in the existing ship of Jiménez skill. Integrated provider of logistics solutions, SSI Schäfer, signed the contract for the installation which provided for the completion of the installation in two stages in August 2006.
The first phase which is already finished and operational since February 2007, occupies a space of 1,162 square meters. The facility consists of a system of picking off shelves of panels R 3000, at three levels, for the storage of spare parts and has 20.774 linear metres of shelving. The ground floor consists of 1,012 modules and a height of 4 meters, allowing to work with vertical order pickers. The two upper floors consist, each, 796 modules and a height of 2.5 meters, allowing, in turn, the manual picking of the stored elements. Each of the modules are equipped with 11 levels of shelves for an evenly distributed load of 100 kg. In addition SSI Schäfer has developed, especially for the client, an area of long loads of 1.5 meters deep in the end.
Jimenez skill store, SSI Schäfer piloted again its competition in the planning and provision of a system of storage according to the requirements of the customer, providing a solution adapted to your needs.
For the client one of the advantages of this project is the maximum utilization of the height of his ship, which has tripled the capacity of storage of spare parts. In this way, greater capacity and classification of face to the storage of the product to the needs of distribution of spare parts of the Group Jménez skill Centre has earned.
