SIL Opens tomorrow his doors “holding the type”

Enrique Lacalle, president of the Committee Organised of the SIL (International Living room of the Logistics and the Manutención) has showed proud, during the presses conference celebrated this morning, of the figures of the edition of this year: “we Equalise in square metres and display units and, besides, have grown in visitors already registered, that is of what treats . With which is falling, is a merit attain these numbers”.

During the official presentation of the SIL, celebrated in the installations of the Consorci of the Frank Zone of Barcelona beside Jordi Cornet, current delegate of the State for this entity, Lacalle has elogiado the work done by the Consorci during years of life “as it is the creation of the SIL, a fair that keeps on being a living room of reference of the logistical market, the second of Europe and the first in Spain”.

Enrique Lacalle has reviewed also the novelties “that in spite of the crisis that has touched us live and suffer presents the SIL” as they are the 1ª edition of the Latin American Summit of logistics and transport — “that will suppose a very important turning point and that has a big potential of future to turn into a meeting of reference by himself same”—, the 1ª edition of the SIL Textile or the session on the Mediterranean runner, “what shows the interest that this has in the sector”. In this sense, Jordi Cornet has stood out that “this runner is prioritario for the Spanish Government and between today or tomorrow will announce new investments in this sense”.

On the other hand, Cornet has advanced also the invitation done, from the Consorci, so that Enrique Lacalle go back to participate in this, “put that the Consorci wants to sell and for this is necessary the maximum collaboration with the fairs of the sector that organise, as it is the case of the SIL”.

1ª Latin American Summit of Logistics and Transport

With the aim to reinforce the existent bows of business between Latin America and the Mediterranean, the SIL will organise the Wednesday 6 June the First Latin American Summit of Logistics and Transport that will debate the present and the future of the Latin American infrastructures with the participation of employers and institutions of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay. Latin America is modernizando his infrastructures and has important plans of development and investment in matter of logistics, generating big opportunities of business and of investment. At the same time, the Latin American participation inside the SIL always has been very visible having had the participation, like countries invited in previous editions, with Brazil, Mexico and Panama.

‘Lunch networkings'

Another of the big novelties of the SIL 2012 will be the celebration of the Lunch Networkings headed to boost the businesses and the professional contacts. The Tuesday 5 June 14 to 16 hours will take place the Lunch Networking Mediterranean-Latin America, a breakfast to put in contact to the offer and the south logistical demand of Europe, the North of Africa, the Sureste Asian, Centroamérica and Sudamérica. The Lunch Networking Latin America and Mediterranean is opened to all the visitors and display units of the SIL.

10º anniversary of the Mediterranean Forum of logistics and transport

The Mediterranean Forum of Logistics and Transport will live this year a special edition with the celebration of his 10 anniversary. Of this form, the International Living room of the Logistics and of the Manutención (SIL), that will celebrate of the 5 to 7 June 2012 in the enclosure ferial of Big Road of Fira of Barcelona, will turn into the most stood out meeting point of the Mediterranean community of the logistics and the transport. The SIL will receive a year more the 10º Mediterranean Forum of the Logistics and the Transport that will celebrate in an only day the Tuesday 5 June 2012. Organised by The Consorci of the Frank Zone of Barcelona, with the collaboration of the Camera of Comerç of Barcelona and of the Association of Cameras of Trade and Industry of the Mediterranean (ASCAME), the present edition will have like New “title south Airs”. This title does reference to the changes that have produced in some south countries of the Mediterranean that have carried a greater democratic stability with the end to promote investments and generate wealth. At the same time the logistical is a key sector and one of the main motors of progress for the countries of the Mediterranean that it has to reinforce with the development of infrastructures, the investment of the private sector and the understanding of both sides of the bank of the Mediterranean.

SIL textile

The offer of workshops sectorial of the SIL 2012 expands also with the SILTextil. Of this way the professionals of the textile logistical sector will have his own day that joins to the already existent devoted to the industry of the feeding and the big distribution (SIL Food), the chemist and sanitary ware (SIL Pharma & Health), the automotive sector (SIL Car) and the electronic trade (SIL and-commerce).
