The Foundation ICIL Barcelona delivers the Diplomas of the Master

The Thursday 19 January, the Foundation ICIL celebrated the act of delivery of the Diplomas to the students of the distinct Masters that the entity organises in Barcelona. The event, that took place in the auditsorium of the Palau of the Government of Catalonia, was chaired by Damià Calvet, Secretary of Territori i Mobilitat of the Government of Catalonia, and had the participation of Pere Rock, president of the Executive Committee of the Foundation ICIL; and Lluis And. Domènech, director of Learning of the Foundation ICIL.

In the opening of the act, Pere Rock referred to the importance of the learning in the field of the logistics, since it is a sector that requires professionals highly ready, qualified and capacitados to assume new challenges in the companies. Thus the Foundation ICIL gives a learning that, in addition to giving access to the knowledges and last tendencies in logistical matter, offers to the students the necessary tools to develop new business projects that can help to set off for in front in periods of economic difficulties like the current. The logistical function is already a strategic factor in the companies and is the one who, by his transversalidad, determines the access to new markets and to new channels.

To finalise, Pere Rock signalled the firm commitment of the Foundation ICIL in the improvement of the professional level of the students, thus “the learning that gives is of professional to professional”.

The director of Learning of the Foundation ICIL also gave to know the new Program Executive MBA that will initiate in the month of April and that is focused to the business strategy general although oriented to companies of Services. To continuation proceeded to the delivery of the Diplomas and, like novelty in this edition, also awarded special quotations to the best projects of each one of the Master, and a distinction to the best student of the promotion 2011.

The students that collected the Diplomas were the ones of:

• The 52ª promotion of the Master in Integral Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• The 54ª promotion of the Master in Integral Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• The 11ª promotion of the Master of Logistics of Storage and Physical distribution
• The 16ª promotion of the Master of Steering of Company of Transport and Logistical Operators

After finalising the delivery of the Diplomas, Damià Calvet did reference to the paper that plays the learning in a marked period by the budgetary containment in distinct fields. For Calvet, the investments in learning are those that have an important and fast return in shape of business and professional successes.
