France will be the guest at SIL 2010

France will feature a number of companies participating in the 2010 SIL, as it is the case for Prologis, the port of Marseille and the Chamber of Commerce of Deux-Sèvres, among others. But French participation will not only be important so it refers to companies represented but also in institutional representation. Prominent political and business figures in the Gallic country will attend the international logistics and maintenance to discuss and provide the keys for the future in the development of infrastructure of transport in the Mediterranean axis.

According to the latest edition of the study by the World Bank the Mediterranean country with the largest index of logistics development (LPI) is France (3.84), followed by Italy (3.64) and Spain (3.63). The French are ten major ports – the largest is the Marseille - 478 airports, a dense network of roads linking them with Andorra, Monaco, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and Italy, are connected with the United Kingdom through the channel tunnel and have the most extensive railway network of Western Europe 31.840 kilometers.

In this way France since Panama (2009) as guest country of the international logistics and the leading maintenance of the Mediterranean and southern Europe. It should be mentioned that Brazil and Mexico also enjoyed this status in 2008 and 2007 respectively.

SIL Trans area, area dedicated to the transport by road

SIL 2010 will also feature an exhibition dedicated to the transport sector Road area. SIL Trans area, a new space of exhibition and meeting designed to make it in the best scenario for the demonstration and exhibition of products and services of all the transport and distribution companies and exclusive to the 'marketplace' in this sector.
