Industrial areas in project of El Consorci: enclaves strategic to revive the economy

With the 200 hectares of Òdena, the 70 of Bellpuig, the 33 of el Pla de Santa Maria or the 83 of Callús, El Consorci will develop and promote logistics, industrial and tertiary activities in areas of Catalonia where it is necessary to revive the economy.

An industrial estate, with a gross area of 200 hectares, will be the largest of the comarca of the Anoia will be built in the municipality of Òdena. Òdena will triple the floor dedicated to the industry in this area, in full economic conversion, you need this space and services to revive its economy.

The Consorci, along with other economic actors of the region, will promote an industrial estate with an offer of 91 NET acres, located on a plot of 200 gross hectares; This project will involve a total investment of more than 50 million euros.

The grounds are located at the foot of the BV-1031 road, which connects Igualada with Rei Prats, 3 kilometres from the Centre of Igualada and the autovía A-2 6. The marketing of the polygon will start in 2010 and will be carried out in three phases: it will sell 40% of the land for the first phase and 30% in each of the two following phases.

Also, in the municipality of Terrassa, Consorci El de la zone Franca de Barcelona has acquired 65.840 square meters of industrial land, included within the scope of the partial Plan of Palau-Sud-Can Guitart productive activities in the municipality of Terrassa.

This new industrial and commercial area is equipped with excellent communications with the motorway C-58, AP-7 and C-16, as well as the N-152 road, and is fully integrated into the urban fabric of the city of Terrassa.

With this project, the Consorci will build and promote rent various industrial and commercial buildings adapted to the demand for small and medium-sized enterprises in the area.

Industrial logistics and tertiary activities in Bellpuig

The Consorci has bought 70 hectares of land in the municipality of Bellpuig, the Pla of L'urgell County, located within the future area for the development of industrial, logistics activities and tertiary, in order to develop and promote an industrial estate which will be the mayor of the municipality.

The grounds are located at the foot of the N-II road and have direct connection to the motorway A-2. Limit with the municipality of Vilagrassa and the Motocross Circuit de Catalunya. They are far from Barcelona 122 kilometers and are located at the Centre of Lleida 35. The total investment in the next five years will be of EUR 25.6 million and is expected to the marketing of the plots urbanized within the next three years.

With a gross area of 33 hectares, the development of the Consorci in El Camp de Tarragona is situated in the municipality of El Pla de Santa Maria (Alt Camp). The lands are located 2 kilometers from the town centre and are next to the carretera comarcal C-37 of Valls to Manresa and Igualada and 3.5 of the AP-2 motorway (exit Valls). The purpose of this promotion is to consolidate an area that has a strong industrial implementation.

For its part, in the municipality of Callús, the Consorci has signed a purchase option for an area of 83 hectares, with the aim of promoting a new area of economic activities appropriate to the characteristics of the area. The grounds, adjacent to the highway C-55 - Abrera, Manresa, Solsona-, are located at a distance of 5 kilometers from the transverse axis, dual carriageway C-25, and 9 of the highway C-16 (E9) which connects Barcelona with the Cerdanya.

In recent years, one of the strategic objectives of the institution has been offering international industrial platforms to Spanish companies, in order to provide aid to the new and changing production needs.

In this sense, the Consorci remains line of usual work the prospection of international markets, in order to evaluate new industrial platforms where the Catalan and Spanish companies can locate to maintain their competitiveness. Different alternatives in several countries, such as Romania, India, Greece and the countries of the Maghreb, notably Morocco and Algeria have been analysed.

In recent years, the institution has collaborated with the Barcelona Chamber in its project for an industrial area in Tangier. They also signed an agreement with the Egyptian Pyramids industrial Parks company - which will bring most of the capital in the project, for the construction of an industrial area of 200 acres on the outskirts of Cairo.
