Success of the new Conference on logistics operators and logistics real estate
During the (I) Supply Chain Outsourcing Forum, dedicated to logistics operators and under the heading of the new frontiers of logistics, the rapporteurs agreed highlight the enormous potential of the sector, because many companies still do not have outsourced their logistics processes, and the growing trend towards business concentration. Speaking of John Patullo, Chief Executive Officer of Ceva Logistics, "the Spanish logistics market is growing faster than any other in Europe". The seminar, which has hinted its willingness to continuity, has also served to highlight the importance of excellence to increase customer satisfaction and to determine the existing margins of improvement.
On the other hand, on the day of logistics real estate, the participants underlined the opportunity posed by the public private partnerships (PPP), as well as the risks that accompany them. In this sense, Andrés Nistal, representative of the Builder Goodman, pointed out that in the field of concessions, "the deadlines are critical for the viability of investments".
In any case, David Delgado, Associate Director of Meridiam Infrastructure, has highlighted the hatching the PPP living in Spain, focused for the moment mainly in the transport sector. Delgado has said some of the benefits of this type of contracts that "favor to infrastructures as high speed trains to occur more quickly".

The railway and ports, key in the development of intermodality
The 4th day of the railway and the 8th day of logistics port have been the scene of a debate in depth on the importance of the development of the infrastructures of both sectors for the growth of intermodality. The session devoted to rail has focused on the role of this mode of transport in the future of the distribution of goods.
For its part, the 9th meeting on logistics port has revolved around two issues of concern to the sector such as the size of container vessels and the limits of the balance between supply and demand in the shipping.
The Sil-Feteia agreement enhances the promotion of the freight forwarders
After sealing the agreement to increase the presence of the freight forwarders in future editions of the Sil, Enrique Lacalle, President of the Organizing Committee of the salon, evoked the long and beneficial relationship between both parties. Enric Ticó, President of Feteia, explained that "the large freight forwarders have been always present in the Sil, but that small and medium also may be from now through Feteia", thanks to the understanding between the two entities.
