ICIL attends Sil 2008 with an innovative exhibition area

The Foundation Icil, Institut Català of logistics, presents this year in the international logistics and maintenance in Barcelona (Sil 2008), for its tenth anniversary, a very special, totally different from the previous editions exhibition area. Rather than focusing only on a warehouse, it will cover all the supply chain, from the finish of an industrial process or the submission of an import, up to the final consumer. Can be seen every hour, for all the days of the show, the control of all the steps: finished production, manipulation of entry, inventory control, preparation of orders by various systems such as voice or RFID, issuance and control of tour of expeditions in the own campus of Sil 2008.

Luis e. Domenech, President of the Executive Committee of the Icil Foundation, highlighted the real innovation for the tenth anniversary of the Sil: "Can be followed step by step, the processes of the supply chain, both in the operational reality and in your computer registry"that real time be presented on the giant screens that will be available for this purpose visualizing how the efforts made at a point in the supply chain can benefit to the entire chain. "The exhibition area include both transportation devices such as trucks and containers and a real store, with all its details such as Windows, testers, etc."

The area of exhibition Icil in the Sil 2008 is a project managed by managers of the Icil Foundation: Primitiva García (ET Systems), Pedro rock (Districenter) and Luis e. Doménech, which estimated the value differential of this already traditional platform in the Sil: "We are confident that regardless of the developments in logistics arise, the exhibition area Icil is spectacular and is in keeping with the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the international exhibition of the logistics in which continuously the Icil has made this area with great acceptance and popularity".
