Participation of SSI Schäfer in SIL 2007

SSI Schäfer came last June, one more time, to the SIL2007 where he presented their latest developments and technologies in systems of storage, preparation of orders and logistics solutions. The Hall has had more than 1,000 exhibitors this year and has exceeded the 48,000 trade visitors.

Given the wide logistics spectrum envisages in its divisions, the giant of German origin, has highlighted his renewed automatic order picking robot S-Pemat, which has attracted attention and curiosity of a multitude of visitors with its avant-garde design and its effectiveness in carrying out the preparation of the ordered products that make up the different orders without human intervention.

This system, together with the procedure shown also at the fair, allow the permanent traceability of batches and demonstrated its effectiveness in many businesses in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, in which it has been installed and implemented the process of picking with proven success.

To complete the Division of automation of warehouses, SSI Schäfer has also installed a mobile base in its stand of 100 square meters and has been able to show the optimal solution that presents this system when it comes to significantly reduce the space to its clients and contacts.

In the range of shelves, SSI Schäfer has presented an attic consisting of shelves of R3000 panels, specially designed for dealers, recambistas and workshops of the automotive sector as well as for a multitude of sectors dealers, spare parts or small pieces

R3000 lock shelving and modular racks system allows total freedom in the arrangement of the modules from the shelf. Its great versatility helps to solve any issue related to charges, locations, and the warehouse space. Standardized components can extend the useful space up to the roof through systems of shelves of several floors with load capacity of up to 5,000 kilograms by frame. For this reason, the shelves of panels system R3000 are especially suited for installations of several floors with passable mezzanines and high load capacity.

Other exposed product of the same range, was the new model of dynamic shelving of the KDR series. Based on the technology of track runner bearings of design and production, these racks are manufactured with a basic metal structure of compact form. The levels of slip are configured through profiles of versatility allowing the location of each level in different positions, both in height and depth, guaranteeing access to all levels of provision. Picking area can arrange trays of presentation with different inclinations, and even tilt the last part of the side profiles to provide a more ergonomic access to higher levels with the help of presentation trays. This new series offers a full range of divisors to guide boxes in their descent and the possibility of incorporating wheels to turn them on shelves of provisioning at foot of chain of mounting or workstation configuring an authentic Kanban.
