The 10th edition of the International Symposium
SIL - five days will be held on June 6, 2007 in the framework of the international logistics and maintenance. Once again, Barcelona will host the most current professional knowledge thanks to the contribution of specialists and senior members of the public administration.
This issue directed discussions to specific areas of the transport by road and also the business in emerging markets, in a clear commitment of the Organization to bring tangible value to members.
The first session of the seminar, titled labour in transport by road, will analyze the new legislation on the subject, and will feature both the business and the trade union representatives. Moderated by Juan Miguel Sánchez, Director General of road transport, of the Ministry of development, the rapporteurs shall:
· Gonzalo Sanz, President of LOGICA
· Pere Padrosa, President of ASTIC
· Marcos Montero, President of CETIM
· Manuel Guerrero, Federal Secretary of road and urban transport, communications and sea of UGT
· Alberto Margalló, Secretary General of roads, of CC sector.OO
The Summit of Councillors which forms the second session of the 10th Symposium is presented as one of the major highlights of the day. Holders of departments with responsibility for logistical infrastructures will explain the projects of the respective regional governments. The session, moderated by five days, has envisaged the participation of:
· Nuria Lopez of Lux Ansola, Minister of transport and public works. Government Basco.
· María Encina Álvarez Parra. Minister of public works. Junta de Castilla - La Mancha.
· Fernando Merry del Val. Minister of economy and technological innovation. Autonomous community of Madrid.
· Joaquim Nadal I Farreras. Counsellor of Territorial policy and public works. Generalitat de Catalunya.
· Javier Velasco Rodríguez. Minister of public works, town planning and transport. Government of Aragon.
This second session must allow to meet commitments and perspectives of the different territories in relation to the promotion and development of the logistics industry, and the challenges which are necessary to take in the near future. The afternoon sessions will be clearly focused in search of business opportunities. Thus, the programme of the Symposium includes a presentation offered by Banco Sabadell on emerging markets. Then, and as a completion, a debate will be held with representatives of les Mexico, guest country of the SIL 9th government institutions. The Bureau will count with the presence of Dr. Luis Téllez Kuenzler, Secretary of communications and transport of Mexico, and representatives of the Governments of the States again Guadalajara, León, and Tamaulipas.
