Cimalsa presented their projects in the 2006 SIL
Their projects will involve an economic impact of 470 million euros.
According to a study on the impact of the logistical platforms promoted by Cimalsa, it has determined that both they and those that are in development will contribute to generate some 13,000 jobs and an economic impact that reaches 471,8 million euros.
During the show, Manel Nadal, President of the governing body and head of the Secretariat for the mobility of the Generalitat of Catalonia, said that the new CIMs mean a greater occupation than different polygons (making as an example the case of the CIM Vallès). He also said that "despite the fact that there is currently talk of the construction as an economic engine, the logistics is the alternative when the construction sector will slow".
With regard to the Logis, Logis Empordà being the first example, they offer greater flexibility with a wider range of industrial and logistics, activities as well as access to major corridors of communication, functional designs suitable for logistics and storage (warehouses)(, heights, roads, etc.), they can accommodate large deployments and have high standards of quality and functionality.
