Jungheinrich Nominated to the prize ‘Ecodesign 2013'

The past 11 November, the environingingmental work of Jungheinrich was officially recognised by his new transpaleta electrical AXIS 112i. It treats of the first carretilla of the world with technology of ions of lithium and ecological balance produced in series. The secretary of Parliamentary State, Ursula Heinen-Esser, and the president of the Federal Office for the Environingingment, Jochen Flashbarth, delivered the certificate of nomination for the prize ‘Ecodesign 2013' to representatives of Jungheinrich. This is the only prize of environingingmental design that awards the federal government German and will be the second occasion in that it deliver this year. The award rewards those products, concepts and innovative services that, in words of the Federal Office for the Environingingment, “are convincentes in terms so much of design as of sustainability”.

The jury of the prizes ‘Ecodesign 2013', formed by representatives of distinct professional fields, has nominated this year to a total of 31 products, services and concepts for the prize of design —Jungheinrich for the sector intralogístico—. “We are proud of this nomination; it is an honour have been recognised by our innovative technology of ions of lithium”, declared Michael von Forstner, responsible of the management of the portfolio of Jungheinrich, while it collected the certificate of nomination in Berlin.

The transpaleta electrical AXIS 112i, first carretilla instrumented with technology of ions of lithium and produced in series all over the world, was presented in May of 2011 in the CeMAT, the greater fair of the world of the sector intralogístico. This technology combines the energetic efficiency with profits of high value for the customer, in terms of handle and ergonomics. The AXIS 112i already has been tested successfully by customers of distinct countries.

The vehicle nominated consists in a transpaleta electrical instrumented with an easily handy battery and with form of case. This battery of ions of lithium, small and innovative —made by Jungheinrich— allows to increase 30% the energetic efficiency and lengthen the useful life of the carretilla, that operates of form more respectful with the environingingment. No only in operations that execute in enclosed spaces, but also in sensitive areas to the weight – for example the rear part of the trucks. Thanks to the AXIS 112i of Jungheinrich, the classical “operations of subsidiary” and the transport in trucks are even more efficient.

The base of this resides in a reduction of 150 kg of weight, that leave the total weight in so only 280 kg, as well as in the efficiency improved of the new technology of storage of power. Other additional advantages of the battery of ions of lithium for carts are the fact of not requiring maintenance, the easy handle and the short times of load and recarga, all this possible thanks to the batteries designed by Jungheinrich and to the systems of management of batteries.
