The sustainability and the innovation, leading in the SIL 2013

The International Living room of the Logistics and of the Manutención (SIL 2013), that this year will celebrate his 15 anniversary of the 18 to 20 June the pavilion 8 of the enclosure Montjuïc-Plaça Espanya of Fira of Barcelona, will have a new Area of Innovation and Sustainability, organised in collaboration with the Spanish Centre of Logistics (CEL). In the frame of the day ‘Measured for the Improvement of the Environingingmental Impact in the distribution of Commodities', the SIL presented in front of more than 50 companies of the sector this new Area.

The president of the SIL, Enrique Lacalle, went the attendant to open the day welcoming all the assistants and remembering that “one of the keys of the International Living room of the Logistics and of the Manutención is that it always has bet by his internacionalidad and has meant for being a bridge for the businesses between Latin America and the Mediterranean”.

Act followed took part José Estrada, general director of the Spanish Centre of Logistics, and Eva will go up, director of the Delegation of Catalonia of AENOR, like entities organisers of the Technical Day Measures for the Improvement of the Environingingmental Impact in the distribution of Commodities. Both stood out the paper that plays the reduction of the environingingmental impact in his sector like the one of the logistics and the transport.

After them, Ramón García, director of Innovation and Projects of the Spanish Centre of Logistics, analysed the measures that exist for the improvement of the environingingmental impact in the activities of transport and logistical. García grouped the innovative initiatives that they can help to reduce the environingingmental impact and improve the efficiency of the logistical chains in measures to improve the energetic efficiency and the use of alternative means of transport, the use of read thinking in the logistical gestión, a strong utilisation of the technologies of the information in the gestión of the logistical activity, a potenciación of the externalización logistical and the impulse of the collaboration between agents of the chain.

To continuation, Blanca Sorigué, general director of the SIL, presented the lines that will mark the activity of the next International Living room of the Logistics. At the same time it presented the new Area of Innovation and Sustainability, organised jointly with the Spanish Centre of Logistics (CEL), where the companies of the sectors of the logistics, the new technologies and the manutención will be able to have of a space to expose his innovations or projects. The new Area of Innovation and Sustainability of the SIL will have also of a zone to promote the commercial relations, the networking and the new business contacts, and, likewise, will devote a complete cycle of talks and conferences to the innovation and the sustainability of the logistical activities and of transport.
