Inauguration of a new factory of Assembly Man in Saudi Arabia

Along with its importer of Saudi Arabia Haji Hussein Alireza & Co. Ltd., Man Nutzfahrzeuge opened a factory for Assembly of trucks on last January 24, 2009 in Jeddah.
The TiB factory (Truck in the Box) is designed for an annual production of 3,000 vehicles in one turn. They are mounted trucks and heads tractors Man TGA-WW intended primarily for the local market.
The factory in Saudi Arabia is a joint project carried out by Man Nutzfahrzeuge and Haji Hussein Alireza & Co. Ltd., partner of Man in Saudi Arabia for 25 years. The new facilities meet the requirements of most modern truck assembly factories and are equipped in accordance with the standards of Man. "The strong growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the Middle East is of great importance for Man." Cooperation with Haji Hussein Alireza & Co. "Ltd. and the new factory are important pillars of the strategy of international growth of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge", said Anton Weinmann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Man Nutzfahrzeuge Group on the occasion of the inauguration in Jeddah.
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge has representation in Saudi Arabia for 25 years. In 2007, the share of the market of lorries of more than 16 tons was of 22.7 per cent. At the end of 2008, after only one year of construction, the first 150 Man vehicles have left the chain of production of the new Assembly factory.
Truck in the Box (TiB) is the concept of Man for the vehicles CKD (completely knocked down), i.e. that the components of the vehicles are sent to other sites for final assembly. For Man, the TiB concept represents a logistics benefit, given that all the components of the vehicle are prepared for shipment, with parts of the vehicle relevant to security, as for example the system of brakes, already single. The TGA-WW model vehicles as a Truck in the Box are prepared for shipment in the factory Man of Salzgitter.
