Henkel Ibérica approves the Plan I of equality of opportunities between women and men
April 16, 2009
The Plan for equality of opportunities between women and men was adopted last October by the Equality Commission of Henkel Ibérica, formed by trade union representation of workers in the enterprise. The Plan includes 14 actions that will take place between 2008 and 2011 under four main lines of work: gender, development and equity, training and awareness, and communication policy. All actions will be monitored and evaluated in order to verify their correct implementation and to then design plans to give them a continuity in the future.
To date, 4 of the planned measures already have been conducted: the Commission for the equality Plan, the Protocol of sexual harassment and gender, the Protocol for cases of gender-based violence and the Plan of raising awareness in the Department of human resources and prevention service. Other actions included in the Plan are the equity in the system of selection and recruitment of staff, the measures of reorganization of the time and social benefits, and a non-sexist communication guide.
