III Prize Txema Elorza already has its three finalists
The election took place at the meeting of the Organizing Committee, the last day of January 29, among the 23 candidates who presented the hardware and DIY sector professionals until 31 December. The three finalists are renowned human and professional ferreteros and ensure that, for the first time, is a hardware Award winner txema elorza.
On the other hand, at the same meeting of January 29, had been also adopted the statutes for the granting of the scholarship for studies (in memory of George Cross, winner of the II Prize Txema Elorza) that will be the Foundation on an annual basis to raise the level of excellence of professionals in the sector. With an endowment of $ 3,000, the scholarship covers all areas of knowledge and is addressed to professionals of Ironmongery and DIY or first-degree relatives.
The Board of Trustees of the Foundation, also is launching a scholarship to the labour market project in the sector, people with disabilities, which has initiated contacts, among others, with the ONCE Foundation.
Txema Elorza collaborates with humanitarian projects
The Foundation has underway at the moment projects in cooperation with the Fundación Pablo Hosttman dedicated to operating problems of the views of children from several African countries.
Other featured projects that Txema Elorza works:
-The creation of the school 'Hans roth Fe y Alegría' workshop in Bolivia, under the auspices of the Vicariate Apostolic Ñuflo de Chávez, offers vocational training to 80 young people with low incomes without access to secondary education, leading to its inclusion and integration into the labour marketthereby fighting against poverty, gender equity and environmental protection. The Foundation has collaborated with a donation of 6,000 euros.
-The project board, driven by young people of the parish Salbatore, Oiartzun, assistance to disabled children in Ecuador. The Foundation has donated $ 3,000 to make several of these young people travelling during their summer vacation to 'Our Lady of Carmen' special education center, and help to affected children of 'Hydrocephalus'.
-Laboratory school in the Philippines, led by the Escolapios Itaka Foundation, the St Vincent secondary school (Philippines) aims to guarantee the right to secondary education through the allocation of seats and the dignity of the conditions prevailing in the Parish School of the municipality of San Vicente schoollocated in one of the poorest areas of the country. Txema Elorza Foundation participates in the project of reconstruction of the school, on the brink of ruin, with a donation of 2,500 euros to equip it with a laboratory.
