Fepex require crisis management measures to the serious situation in the areas of production of fruit and vegetables today

Fepex believes that action of crisis such as the withdrawal of products are a priority to bring normality back to production and reactivate exports, which has not yet occurred. Crisis measures was raised yesterday by the director of Fepex, José María Pozancos at the meeting with the Vice-President of the Government, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, and with the Minister of environment, Rosa Aguilar, held yesterday, in Almería and will be the subject of the meeting remain, today, in Madrid, the directors of agriculture in the main regions affected with the Minister.
Fepex calls for extraordinary measures for management of crisis and withdrawal that they should be compensated at market prices, and flexible administrative procedures to facilitate its management should be established. Withdrawals could be used for free distribution to charitable entities, in fresh or transformed. The regime should be open to all the undertakings concerned which attest their trading activity. The cost of these withdrawals must be borne by the European Commission, responsible for the alert unjustified food.
