Las innovaciones tecnológicas y el apoyo e inversión del sector privado están mejorando la calidad y la eficiencia del agua en áreas donde era escasa o simplemente no existían infraestructuras hídricas. Otra geografía que presenta grandes desafíos por sus condiciones geoclimáticas y estructurales es Latinoamérica. Allí en el mes de noviembre, Almar Water Solutions adquirió la empresa chilena Osmoflo SpA con el objetivo de iniciar su actividad de servicios a terceros, reforzar su porfolio con nuevas referencias en desalación, potabilización y depuración, y tener acceso al desarrollo de infraestructuras en la región. Con este último movimiento, se ha ampliado el porfolio de proyectos con cuatro nuevos contratos de operación y mantenimiento: dos plantas desaladoras para el sector minero y dos plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales para el sector de piensos y alimentación animal. Asimismo, AlmarWater Solutions cuenta con una flota de plantas móviles de tratamiento de agua con múltiples capacidades que proporcionan soluciones urgentes o a corto plazo a clientes industriales. Y con este panorama tan ambicioso, la compañía mira al 2020 con gran entusiasmo y con ganas de seguir fortaleciendo su presencia en nuevos países y mercados estratégicos.
