The Polytechnic University of Madrid and Intemper create a Chair to promote sustainable construction

The purpose of this agreement is working mainly in four areas: r & d, knowledge transfer, promotion of sustainable architecture and training, in relation to the envelope of the building.

Several research projects on technological solutions proposed by the company Intemper, pioneer in roofs and green walls have already been initiated. The purpose of these studies is to identify and compare the environmental benefit, energy saving, energy production and the optimization of the use of water.

There are two monitored experimental buildings where data of a photovoltaic roof is collected in Colmenar Viejo, a covered cistern ecological and different systems of facade natura. In addition, it works and share information through multidisciplinary teams related to urban planning, architecture, the environment and industry. This Chair also includes several courses, visits and technical seminars for professionals and students of engineering and architecture.
