The mark of assurance pine Soria Burgos WINS one of the awards of sustainable construction of Castile and León, Spain

Environment and advisers of Fomento de la Junta de Castilla y León, María Jesús Ruiz and Antonio Silvan, respectively, were delivered last Friday, November 14, II awards of sustainable construction of Castile and León, Spain in the framework of the seventh edition of the housing fair held in Valladolid. The mark of assurance pine Soria Burgos won one of the five prizes awarded, specifically in the 'Other areas' category.
The guarantee brand promotes the use of wood as a natural, renewable and environmentally friendly material, but pine Soria Burgos goes beyond the intrinsic wood quality given that the service associated with the product defines the foundations underpinning the principles of the brand: the origin of the wood, sustainability in the forest exploitation and the quality of the product. In this sense, pine Soria Burgos wood comes from forest masses of the pinariega region of Soria and Burgos certified by PEFC system. In addition, the correct classification of the product and the comprehensive and rigorous quality controls that undergoes wood, made both by the industries that processed and by Cesefor, independent and non-profit technical organization, they guarantee a quality that meets the needs of the user.
In this second edition of the awards was attended by a total of 46 projects, representing a 35 per cent more than in the previous edition, 14 of which went to the final phase. The award provides for three categories: 'Work built', 'Projects' and 'Other areas'.
