The Labour Foundation of construction participates actively in Construtec

The Foundation construction labour has participated actively at the Construtec trade fair, held in Madrid from 9 to October 12. Among the most representative events organized by the entity was the institutional day with the title "The Spanish strategy of safety and health at work." "Vision of the social partners." The agents of the construction sector agreed in pointing out that "lack awareness on prevention of occupational hazards". Foundation, aware of the importance of the document, for the day, invited representatives of business, Trade Union and the Administration, provided that they provide their vision and state the way in which the operational objectives of the Spanish strategy on health and safety must adapt to the peculiarities of the construction sector.

Another of the main initiatives developed by the Labour Foundation in the field of Construtec was the 2nd national contest of masonry, which was intended to recognize and dignify the profession of the professionals of the sector. Brothers Nativity of the gallant Pozo and José María of the Pozo Galán, both from Madrid, were the winners, while couples formed by the also brothers Lucius Jiménez Garcia and Raúl Jiménez García, Alfonso Jiménez García and José María Jiménez Garcíaall of Extremadura, were second and third places, respectively. In the contest, whose evidence consisted in the realization of an "asymmetrical bow with lost formwork", involving a total of 29 pairs of professionals from nine different autonomous communities: Andalusia, Castile - La Mancha, Castile and León, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Extremadura, GaliciaLa Rioja and Madrid.
