National Association of manufacturers of blocks and concrete masonry, awarded at the Ifema Fairgrounds during the fair of the construction of Madrid, Construtec, the awards to the "1st prize of architecture with blocks of concrete 2008" convened by the Association last April and whose purpose is to promote the knowledge and the implementation of the concrete masonry as well as the parameters of sustainability, energy efficiency and strict quality of manufacture that accompanies their products.

The first prize was awarded to Tallum.
The first prize was awarded to Tallum, an avant-garde work of the architect Ramón Peña Ruiz-Cuevas. The project, a bioclimatic building of swimming pools purification facilities, is located in Gamarra with the river Zadorra (Vitoria-Gasteiz). It is dominated by the use of sustainable materials and it is based on the integration of elements active bioclimatic architecture.
The second prize was awarded by the jury to integration in the place of the architect Carlos Ferrater Lambarri. The project is located in Terrassa (Barcelona) and is the headquarters of the Royal Club of Golf El Prat. The work is conceived according to the criterion of respect and integration to the whole of the landscape, accessibility, communication and centrality to the playing field. The Prix Lucia Ferrater which has received 6,000 euros picked him up.
The second prize was awarded by the jury to integration in the place of the architect Carlos Ferrater Lambarri.
The jury has decided that the third prize is shared by Battís Caffó, a center of early childhood education in Granollers (Barcelona) of Jordi Badia. It was built in white concrete and a series of lattice also concrete in internal and external continuum that shape the language of the building. On the other hand, folds, work of architect Javier Pérez Uribarri is currently a Sports Centre for leisure in Langreo (Asturias) and the painted concrete blocks were used. Each of these projects will receive the amount of 1,500 euros.
