Sign an agreement to promote joint management of household packaging in border cities

The Convention provides that the three entities implemented a joint programme that integrates: environmental education campaigns, exchange of information and support in the presentation of candidatures for the different calls for Community funds. He also joined in the spirit of the Convention the Plan's indicators of urban sustainability (Pisu), introduced by the delegate Committee of environment of the Atlantic Eixo. Similarly, in the framework of the Convention, will be presented a project for the call for funds Life +, consisting of the development of a project of tool of analysis of the life cycle on the collection of waste from packaging (LCA project).
Ecoembes and Ponto Verde, as managing bodies of the integrated systems of management in Spain and Portugal respectively, provide the financial means and the necessary technical support for the Convention development. The contributions of Eixo Atlántico materialize in "the human and material resources necessary for the leadership of the agreement and the management of it, also collaborating through the provision of data of the affected cities and the subsequent dissemination of the results".
