The event will celebrate its first edition from 24 to 26 September in fair of Zaragoza

The exhibition space of Zaragoza debuts new fair trade. Between 24 and 26 of the next September will be held EcoBuilding 2008, Hall and Conference International of bioclimatic architecture, sustainable building and energy efficiency in the building.

EcoBuilding is born as a response to the demand of a sector in need of a truly specialized fair, bringing together in a same space the protagonists of the new constructive approaches respectful with the environment. a highly specialized fair next to overcome low in contests of its kind offering, since almost all of them are incorporated into the large general construction fairs, which more or less transverse or marginal devoted space to sustainability. In contrast to this approach, Hall is designed as a contest with its own personality, that summons of monographic and joint way to sectors of bioclimatic, sustainable building and energy efficiency in building architecture which makes it one of the plan truly specialized in Spain.

The fair will bring together in a specialized forum to the protagonists of the new constructive approaches respectful with the environment. Thus, architects and engineers related to sustainable building and energy efficiency, promoters, builders, managers and ultimately all practitioners of the constructive industry with a vision of a sustainable future will find their place in this new event.

For its first edition, EcoBuilding will have a net of about 3,000 square meters exhibition area and will occupy the Hall number 1 fair of Zaragoza. The organizers expect more than 5,000 trade visitors and have an interest of more than 100 direct exhibitors. The Salon will be held simultaneously with the sixth edition of Power Expo (international fair of the efficient and sustainable energy) and ExpoRecicla (international fair of management and valorisation of waste). Three fairs which are established numerous synergies, both visitor profile and the exchange of knowledge and technology between the different subsectors.

Exhibition sectors of EcoBuilding correspond to the four great pillars on which is based the own sustainable construction: architecture bioclimatic, energy efficiency policy and management, and automation and real estate.

EcoBuilding is a firm and secure commitment to sustainability, which begins with the support of the main actors involved in the sustainable building: public institutions, research centres, industry associations and some of the largest Spanish companies in the industry. Anyone who has something to say in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable construction in Spain will be present or already part of EcoBuilding, whose organizing Committee is composed of representatives of all the segments mentioned above.

Institutional support is headed by the own Government of Aragon, who becomes involved in the project through its Ministry of public works, town planning and transport, and public utility land and housing of Aragon (SVA); accompanied by the City Council of Zaragoza, from its Department of urban planning, as well as representatives of the Ministry of housing, from the Subdirectorate-General for innovation and quality in building. The Ecocity valdespartera of Zaragoza, tangible example of sustainable building and urban planning, is also represented in the Organizing Committee.

In September, EcoBuilding will be the appointment of inescapable reference in a sector that pushes strong from the start. They will participate in the event developers, builders and managers of buildings and sustainable urban development; manufacturers and distributors of materials and equipment for sustainable construction; Engineering and consulting companies specializing in building projects, designers, suppliers, installers and operators of systems of renewable energy in buildings and, of course, agencies and public and private entities committed to the promotion of sustainable building and energy efficiency

Sustainable building today is the great challenge for innovation in the construction sector and also for their renewal. The introduction of new technologies and materials, with advanced architectural designs and construction techniques-saving resources, innovative and respectful with the environment, enhanced tools for the sector to modernize urban design making it sustainable from an environmental point of view, but also from the economic point of view, that the energy bill of a sustainable building decreases significantly the costs throughout its life cycle.

EcoBuilding represents, in short, a great opportunity for companies in the sector of sustainable construction accessible to the business that is already generating strong demand for a new course in urban planning, architectural design, construction, and the equipment of the buildings, neighborhoods and entire cities.
