The companies Gaia go down 6% in turnover, in spite of a growth in the figure of international business of 12%

The president of the
Gaia Concentrates to a notable sample of the sector TEIC Professional to state level, what turns him into an exceptional referent of the situation of the same. To national level the sector TEIC also has fallen around 5% in 2012, in spite of the presence and participation in the same of international companies.
As they have informed the spokesmen of the Clúster, the turnover of the 260 integrated companies in Gaia reached the past year the 2.742 million euros, figure that represents a decreasing of 5,8% with regard to 2011. “In 2012 they have grown the complications of previous years, increasing the fall of the public and private demand (reducing the investments in TEIC) and the additional difficulties in the financials of the companies and his activities. That is to say, it has been the fourth year of situation of recession”, has underlined his president, Manuel Salaverria.
The president of Gaia has matizado that, even keeping the negative tendency of the last years, “the behaviour has been again uneven in function of the dimension of each organisation and of the subsector to the that belongs”.
Like this, the most affected by the adverse coyuntura have been in 2012 the companies of electronics equipment dealers equipment dealers of lower dimension, that saw to reduce his turnover in 20%, followed of the companies of small Tics that have registered a shrinking of 15% and of 9,6% in the case of the average and big companies of the sector Tics. By his part, the professional electronics equipment dealers equipment dealers of greater dimension increased in 2012 his turnover around 1%, to consequence fundamentally of his presence in international markets.
With regard to the employment, has reduced 5,3% with regard to 2011, conforming 10.807 places of work in the macrosector of electronics equipment dealers equipment dealers, computer and telecommunications in the Autonomous Community Basque to 31 December 2012. By the contrary, comes experiencing a growth of the employment in the locations of the sector in the outside, figure that already surpasses the 4.000 professionals.
The growth registered in the international activities reaches 12,7%, with a figure of business of 1.053 million euros in 2012, what evidence again that they are the companies internacionalizadas and multilocalizadas those that better results obtain. “This confirms that the internationalisation and multilocalización are the main tools to surpass the crisis, although it is not near at hand of all the companies, as they show it the results by subsectores”, has underlined Salaverria. Also it has commented the need to reinforce the networking of Gaia, promote the mobility of the professionals of the sector, of the executive team, of young collaborators, “and take advantage of the development of new infrastructures abroad to give to know our sectorial capacities in said thematic. These are some of the recurrent activities of this bet by the internationalisation”, has apostillado.
Regarding the investment in Investigation, Development and Innovation (R&D), the integrated organisations in Gaia invested 120 million euros the past year, figure that represents a decreasing of the 3,2 % with regard to 2011.
