A shepherd of Teruel will represent to the 850.000 exploitations of ovino-goat milking rooms of the EU in Brussels

José Luis Iranzo Alquezar, responsible of Productions Graziers of COAG, was chosen yesterday, day 8 October, in Brussels, vice-president of the group of work ovino-goat milking rooms of the GLASS-COGECA, after receiving the majority backrest of the distinct agricultural organisations European. From his new responsibility will defend the interests of the more than 850.000 exploitations of ovino-goat milking rooms of the EU in front of the community institutions. “We have to improve to this sector by his productive importance inside the sectors graziers and his invaluable contribution to the maintenance of the pastures and the environingingment through the development of sustainable models and the aprovechamiento rational of the natural resources. The sostenimiento of these sectors coincides with diets semi-extensivos situated in disadvantaged zones where besides represent an economic activity that allows the vertebración of the half rural”, has aimed the turolense after his election.
Grandson and son of shepherds, José Luis Iranzo, of 35 years, is technical engineer of exploitations agropecuarias and manages a familiar exploitation of 1.200 sheep of aptitude cárnica in the place turolense of Andorra. Besides, it devotes to the crop of cereal of secano, olivar and almendro. Between his sindical and professional responsibilities along the last years fits to stand out the following:
- Period 2004-2008. General coordinator Agricultural Youths of COAG.
- From April of the year 2009 to the actuality, member of the Executive Commission of COAG and state manager of the following sectors: ovino and goat milking rooms, pork, rural development, cooperativismo, agricultural and young structures agriculturalists.
- From the year 2009 to date, president of the Agricultural Cooperative Andorra.
- From the year 2011 until nowadays, president of ADS Andorra and region (Association of sanitary ware defence).
José Luis Iranzo, responsible of Productions Graziers of COAG, will back the interests of the community exploitations in Brussels.
