TESA wins the Prime environmental award in the comarca of the Bidasoa

TESA has carried out a campaign called 'Environmental awareness', with other initiatives related to sustainability, which made him deserving of the Prime environmental award in the comarca of the Bidasoa.
Among the activities implemented by the Department of environment of the company, the most relevant are: the reduction of the sewage sludge, replacement of the chromic degreasing of machining with alcoholic base, installation of presence of light sensors, installation of valves from closing of compressed air, plan of closure of machinery to avoid noise pollution and the 'Environmental awareness' campaign.
With regard to the campaign to save natural resources, TESA TESA had aimed at reducing the environmental impact much more and motivate employees to ensure that the culture of saving and respect for the environmental resources form part of the internal culture of TESA.
The area has been the three floors of TESA: Irún, Escoriaza and San Fernando de Henares, and as result were 102 proposals of the 600 employees of the company.
The more viable ideas from the competition, after being analyzed by factory managers, were launched in all plants to carry out a number of improvements. In this way, Eskoriatza has reduced the consumption of electrical energy, gas in the coolers, of cardboard waste and water, among other things. STS have been improvements in the lighting and stops machine to reduce the power consumption, while TESA Irún electrical energy in offices has been reduced, health water, used paper recycled for cleaning of hands and has been the role in the trade catalogues by use of computer media and for better management.
Resulting in Eskoriatza, there was a saving of 4 per cent of electricity and a 16 per cent reduction of paper and cardboard, while 7 per cent of savings was obtained in Irun.
