Interview to Agustín Durán, commercial director of C.T. Service (Centrotécnica)

Which is the most usual profile of a buyer of mills? It is a transformer —that needs triturar his defective pieces—, is a reciclador...?
There is different profiles of buyer of mill that, in the majority of cases, also answer to the type of mill. Generally, the transformer by injection or blown is used to to be usual buyer of small mills to situate on foot of machine, allocated to recover on line coladas and occasional defective pieces. In some cases, purchase a middle-sized mill to recover of multiple centralised form pieces and in case of big companies of high production can even purchase several units to avoid pollutions by the use of different materials and/or colours.
In extrusion employ mills especially adapted to go recovering the usual cuts that produce of continuous form during the manufacture of film, ironinging or plate, the same that in processes of termoconformado with the ironinging coined.
The signatures devoted to the industrial recycling are used to to purchase or mills of big size and power or, the most usual nowadays, heartbreaking combined with mills for trocear big pieces moldeadas, tortas of plastic melted containers of big size or even bullets of material pressesing.
Which is the most valued characteristic by the buyers in a mill?
By culture, in our country, especially at present by the difficult economic situation, looks for a commitment between quality and price, valuing in general a cost contained, since the quality and robustness of the mills of any European manufacturer is very high. Also it values that the dimensions are the most adjusted possible, in the case of equipment on foot of machine, as well as the relation between production and energetic consumption. Simultaneously, it weighs a lot the name of the distributor and the manufacturer, of face to the guarantee regarding service postventa and the experience to the hour of asesorar in the purchase to supply the most suitable team.
A priori, it seems that the mills are a type of team with little technology. It is this true? What has to guarantee a technologically advanced mill?
Exist different technical concepts of mill. For standard applications, a conventional mill can contribute a high degree of technology in the design of the rotor, disposal of the blades and quality of the punzonado of the rejilla, obtaining, as they are these criteria, a triturado of greater quality, less dust and lower energetic consumption. Also you marry them leaders invest a lot in the design of the team to facilitate his opening, cleaning and maintenance, as well as in the soundproofing of the equipment. On the other hand, for the recovery of technical materials or very hard exists a variety designated trituradores to low revolutions, whose main characteristic is the design of the camera of cutting. A central rotor endowed of long blades that precortan the colada or piece and some toothed rollers that to way of strawberry bite the material generating a triturado homogéneo, exento of dust, with very little energetic consumption and generating very little noise during the process. The time production is not elevated, but the quality of the triturado is very high, what allows to increase the percentage of triturado with regard to the virgin in the recovery on line, what in technical materials supposes a remarkable economic saving. The manufacturer MO-SAY-TEC is the pioneer in this field and, given his specialisation, offers besides only systems like the detection of metals in the camera of cut, systems ABS antibloqueo and a very wide range of equipment to adapt to all the sizes of pieces to triturar.
